Another year, another BIG UK Rumfest. Ogogoro man’s were out to discover some new lit rums and inspiration when we hit the studio.

RumFest 2025 did not disappoint, it was my 5th year running participating in the rum industry (Boy Sayso). My taste & pallet has evolved and changed drastically since the first year. Attending has brought new perspectives after chatting to brand ambassadors and master rum distillers in helping how to sip and taste better. I can also identify better what I am sippin on. The rum stories and blending process helps me appreciate what good rum is. Knowledge brings new perspectives & creative sparks.

I love the aged oaky rum aroma as it reminds me of my grandmother cooking with her firewood burning stove. It’s amazing how smells trigger nostalgia and memories, makes me feel like hittin the booth!

No wonder, after touchin down at Rumfest for the first time, Maxoo was inspired to write from his own personal experience with a track called Jamaican Rum, Jheeze! Wait for the drop, coming soon.
